How much does a boudoir shoot cost?
Our collection prices range from $400-1200 for all inclusive packages that come with professional hair & makeup, and digital images. Clients typically spend between $1000-1500 on package and additional images. Our most popular package is the 25 image collection for $1200. Check out our prices here.
Sessions also include assistance with choosing lingerie and props for your shoot (lingerie provided by you). We guide you the entire time, showing you sample images, and even getting into some of the poses to show you how it’s done. You will also be given our exclusive lingerie guide when you book your session with us!
Will my photos be on the internet?
Our customer’s privacy is very important to us and unless you provide us with your consent, your images will not appear on my website/blog/social media etc. However, we would be happy to share them if you are comfortable with it, and many of our clients love seeing updated photos and reading your comments about your session. We can crop images so that your face is not shown in the image – this is a very popular way to show off your images while leaving your identity secret.
I don’t like my legs/love handles/wrinkles. Can you “Photoshop” me?
Professional retouching is part of our editing process and a little nipping and tucking is generally included but we want to make you look like you and not an unrealistic version of you. Some of the things we look for when retouching are blemishes, wrinkles, spider veins/bruises, etc. Quite often we remove those small tattoos we all got when we were 18.
I’m not a model and I could never look like half of the women in your portfolio.
You don’t have to be a model to have beautiful, intimate and empowering photos of yourself. All you need is to be able to take our direction and guidance! We have photographed women aged 40+ and size 20+, and each of those women told me they never felt more beautiful than when they saw their finalized images. Many of our clients are so happy that they end up purchasing more images, referring their friends and even booking another shoot.
I need to lose a few pounds before booking my shoot…
We have worked with many ladies who aren’t size 6 and their images were just as beautiful as anyone else’s. The key is wearing clothes that fit you properly and knowing when you need to go a size up or down. Who cares what the size says on the tag? Also, think about wearing pieces that cover or take attention away from the areas that you don’t feel comfortable with. For example, if you aren’t comfortable with your belly (most of us aren’t), choose a form fitting corset, or high waisted panties (we are so in love with these right now!). The other thing to keep in mind is the right pose and camera angle – shooting from the ground up has a much different and less flattering effect than shooting downward from a higher angle.
Do you provide wardrobe?
You are responsible for your own wardrobe. Each session includes between 2-3 outfits and we usually ask clients to bring a number of options, including bra and panty sets, corsets, sheer nighties, garter belts and stockings, etc. We have clients try each of the outfits on so that we can see what fits best and looks the most flattering with their skin tones. Our exclusive lingerie guide will help you choose what to bring and don’t forget to stop in to our preferred lingerie store Indulgence Intimate Apparel, in Downtown Dartmouth to pick up something fabulous. Be sure to tell them we sent you!
One quick update on wardrobe – we no longer shoot military dress and/or jersey’s. It really doesn’t reflect our brand so we have decided to move away from it and focus only on lingerie. A t-shirt and pair of panties could work, or jeans and a leather jacket – just be sure to mention this when you call to book your session.
Can you give me ideas for what to purchase for my boudoir shoot?
Our favorites are bodysuits/teddies – check out La Senza and Victoria Secret for some really great pieces that will work wonders for those trouble areas and help accentuate those gorgeous curves. Bustiers, corsets and marywidows are also big hits with every figure. If you decide to bring stockings, avoid “stay ups”. The rubber digs in and creates unflattering bulges on our legs. Look on the package for stockings attached to garter belts. If you don’t see garter belts, they are stay ups and we don’t want those. The key to looking fabulous for your boudoir session is the right wardrobe and most importantly the right fit!
What about items I might already have?
Below is a list of items that you likely already have that would be perfect for your shoot.
- Clothing: various sets of lingerie: bra and panty sets, sheer tops or nighties, garter belts, stockings, corsets. We could have a shot of you wearing jeans half buttoned, heels and either a bra, or no shirt. If you decide not wear a shirt, there are various options for covering your breasts so that they are not exposed. White tank-tops and a pair of lace panties also work well together.
- Accessories: Shoes (heels, boots, etc), jewelry (necklaces, rings, earrings, etc), hats – fadora’s are perfect for boudoir photos, mardi-gras masks, etc. Other accessories can include your favorite perfume bottle, riding boots/hat/riding crops, etc. Please keep accessories to a minimum, however.
How quickly will I receive my images/products?
Digital images are available 2-3 weeks after your purchasing session and products take between 4-6 weeks. We can sometimes rush orders, but please contact us to discuss.
Where will the shoot take place?
Our natural light studio is an intimate and empowering space complete with beautiful bedding and a gorgeous chandeliers. Don’t forget to tell us what type of music you love. We have a great sound system to get you in the mood to shake your booty!
Can I bring one of my girlfriends to the shoot?
We have changed our policies and no longer allow friends at your sessions. Our studio is pretty small and with myself, and our makeup artist, we just don’t have the extra space for friends. Please note: men and children are not permitted in our studio. #girlsOnly
What if I cannot make it to my shoot?
Sometimes things come up and you have to reschedule your appointment. You may reschedule as long as you contact us 3 days or more before your shoot date and you may only reschedule once. If you cancel/reschedule with less than 3 days notice, the retainer fee will not be returned and will be used to pay for the lost time (hair/makeup, assistant, myself). When/if you would like to reschedule, we require that 50% of the package price plus tax is due to confirm rescheduled appointment. This policy has been put in place after a number of clients have cancelled at the last minute leaving us little time to try to recoup losses. Sorry ladies, but we are running a business.
Do you shoot nude or implied nude?
Yes. We do offer the option of having a few nude images taken during your shoot, or shooting the entire session nude. We have had a few clients book us strictly to provide them with beautiful and elegant fine art nude images. We will discuss your ideas and requests during your consultation and we reserve the right to decline to shoot something we do not feel represents our brand.
Do you provide/allow alcohol at a boudoir session?
We do not allow alcohol in our studio. It is in our best interest that clients arrive sober and with a sound mind so that they don’t do something they wouldn’t have done if they hadn’t been drinking. For example, should you decide to do a nude session, we don’t want there to be any misunderstanding or miscommunication which may be a result of “a little too much to drink”, or “I would not have done that if I had been sober”. That being said, what clients do prior to coming in for their shoot is their own business and if they choose to have a drink or two before arriving, that is their choice. We reserve the right to cancel the session and not refund the session fee if clients arrive and are clearly under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
We have been doing this for many years and are very experienced in making clients feel comfortable without alcohol.
How do I book a shoot with you?
Use our Contact page to get in touch with us. Once we set a date/time, we require a non refundable retainer fee of $300 which is applied to your overall total including tax. This confirms your time and no one else can book your spot and covers the loss of business in the event that you cancel or reschedule on short notice. Retainer fees can be paid by cash, email money transfers, or credit cards. Additional products are purchased at your ordering session and can be paid with cash, email money transfers, or credit cards. Payment plans are available.
