We’ve been eyeing the penthouse since we first moved into Icon Bay, so when the opportunity to shoot there came up back in April we didn’t waste any time. We crammed our furniture and plants into the elevator, called our two favorite girls, and headed up to the (future) home of Halifax Boudoir!
The more I sneak into the penthouse, the more determined I am to take over the top floor. I think the building workers are starting to think that I live there, so it won’t be any surprise to them when I actually do!
I’m so proud of how much the business has grown over the last year and I want to take it even further (about 8 floors up). I’m constantly reminded of how lucky I am to be able to do what I love while working with an amazing team and a growing client base of confident, fearless women.
If you’ve been following us on social media, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of Brittany and Claire. I’ve been working with them for close to seven years now, and they’ve become my go-to girls when I have new ideas to try in the studio. We covered almost every square inch of the penthouse, including the scaffolding, to get some incredible shots.
A big thank you to our friend, Duane Jones, founder and fellow artist of ‘Art Pays Me’, a Halifax clothing brand that’s built on following your creative passion. He graciously donated ‘Art Pays’ tanks for the girls to wear for their shoot with us (shop the look here). We love supporting and collaborating with local talents!
The next time we shoot in the Penthouse, i’ll be holding the keys.
